Pain and injury are virtually unavoidable in the fallen world we live in. Each of us gathers our fair share of cuts and bruises, sicknesses and disabilities throughout our lives. But as any counselor can tell you, over time, it’s not the physical suffering that does us the most damage. Far more dangerous are the wounds that have cut us to the core of our being, the ones we can’t see and in large part, do our best to ignore – the scars we carry deep in our hearts.
