Southeastern Chatter Page 2 Merry !! Christmas !! From :Southeastern Chatter Thank you for a great 2014! Hello Cutters, During this Christmas season and the ending to another year, I wanted to take this opportunity to touch base as we begin to welcome 2015. A great big THANK YOU to all of the cutters who came to Rabun Are- na in Clayton, GA and helped to make our shows successful. And an even bigger THANK YOU to the arena help. No cutting show is suc- cessful without the DEDICATION of the help in the working pen. Please remember to give a thank you to these guys who work all day at every show and never complain: Brandon Walden, Kevin Walden, Walt Erwin, Jason McClure, and Chris Howell, Skip Queen, Billy Wi- er, and Jordan Vaughn. As always, thank you to Tim Busby at the cattle pens. Dependable as the sun to be there for cattle delivery and loading and separating. Wateree appreci- ates ALL OF YOU ! Can’t leave out Steve Cabe, arena director, who is always there for any issues that may arise, and for having cattle pens, loping area, and working pen ready when we arrive..…… And a SPECIAL Thank You to Mary Kingsbury & Jessica Bagley. They are my right hand “men”, and without these two ladies I’d never get a thing accomplished. Even dur- ing Mary’s illness, she managed to stay, always, 3 steps ahead of me. Thank you for donations towards awards this year. Mary is a great Vice President and Friend, and we Love Her very much. Had it had not been for Jess and her knowledge of electronics, well….we would have been lost. She saved the day more than once……..thank you both Please continue to pray for Mary’s good health during the Holiday sea- son. In 2015 Wateree will add a 4 yr old class ; welcome the addition of the NCHA Sr. class within a class; and, as in 2014, continue to hold Practice Works on Fri. afternoons. Thank you to Brandon Walden for your dedication to handle and oversee the Practice Works. Our schedule for shows in 2015 will be as this year: last w/e in April 25 & 26 and last w/e in Sept 26 & 27, BUT we do have one change. The usual date of last w/e in June has been changed for 2015 only to May 23 & 24, Memorial Day w/e. There is a conflict in Clay- ton & Tallulah Falls end of June for 10 days – The Great Wallenda will be walking a tightrope over the Gorge !!! Sounds like a great time to be there, but this will be a national event !! Motel rooms and the like are already getting booked, and the county plans to use the park across from arena and also arena grounds for parking to get on shuttle buses. Don’t think the Great Wallenda and a Cutting show will go together very well So mark your calendars for those event dates listed above. Good luck to all those who will be competing in the upcoming Augusta Futurity! I wanted to mention that a FUN event has been added to the World Finals in Fort Worth. Each night at the Watts Arena, there will be a “Mutton Bustin” contest after the cutting show and when the “Finals” night comes, there will be a finals also for the little cowboys/cowgirls mutton busters!! How cute is that??? My prayer to everyone is to have a blessed Christmas Season and Holi- days and New Year. Looking for- ward to seeing all of you at Rabun Arena next year………Until then….....Stay Warm & Ride ! Regards, Steve Roberson Pres. WCHA
