Leticia Castor, Child Care Teacher/ Preschool Director Leticia has an extensive background in Early Childhood Education. She has been a Director and Supervisor in Children Centers for many years. She comes to us from East San Gabriel Valley ROP/TC where she taught Child Development to high school and post secondary students. She was an Adjunct Professor for Chaffey and Mt. San Antonio Community Colleges. She has a passion for cultivating and developing skills for students who want to enter into early childhood education. She lives locally, has a large, close extended family, two daughters in the education field as well as two four-legged family members. She looks forward to working more closely with the BVROP team and parents. Antonia Walker, Administrative Assistant Antonia Walters joined BVROP in the beginning of October and is the new Administrative Assistant for the Educational Services Department. Antonia brings to BVROP over 10 years assisting at the executive level and an energetic go-getter attitude to her department. She has two children Delilah and Dexter and married her high school sweetheart, Dennis. Antonia and her family love to spend their weekends outdoors partaking in wakeboarding, dirt bike riding, snowboarding, and camping in the Sequoia’s. If you are feeling up to an exciting weekend, give Antonia a call. Gerald Jo, 3D Animation & Media Design Gerald joined Baldy View ROP in October and is a 3D artist/game developer for the PC and the mobile phone market. He also has over 7 years experience teaching Game Art and Animation at a college level. Art and teaching are his passion. Gerald is super excited to be a part of the BVROP team and to have an opportunity to help and guide students into the game and animation industry which is so diverse with many exciting career paths! Gerald hopes to continue being a positive influence to students and shape their future to be bright. Gerald likes all types of animals especially dogs and reptiles. He plays basketball a lot to stay in shape or he will just keep on gaining weight. He grew up in Torrance/Gardena area but now he lives in Fullerton, CA. He has a wife and a 3 year old daughter named Erin who loves to dress up everyday. Raymond Gordon, Fire Technology Teacher Ray Gordon is a retired Battalion Chief from the City of Pasadena. He has worked as a Firefighter/Paramedic, Fire Captain and Fire Battalion Chief; he has more than 29 years of public service. For over five years Ray has been his department’s Training Officer. During his tenure as the Training Officer, he worked on a “Tri - City” Recruit Training Academy that graduated fire candidates that were employed by three different cities. Ray has enjoyed working in Fire Prevention, Emergency Medical Services. And Fire Operations. He enjoys helping prepare students for a career in public service. 2 Arnold Mathias, Criminal Justice/ Forensic Science Teacher Art Holguin, Student Services Specialist Art Holguin joined Baldy View ROP in October as our Student Services Specialist. Art has a background in Post-Secondary Higher Education where he has held positions such as, Optical Dispensing Instructor, Externship Coordinator and Career Service Coordinator. He also worked as a Probation Correctional Officer with Tulare County Probation Department. For the past 15 years, he has Managed /Coached baseball in the Junior, Senior and Big League Divisions for teams in the City of Ontario and Upland. Art was a nominated Board Member for Ontario Eastern Little League and served a 4 year term as “Umpire -N-Chief". He also participated in 3 Senior Little League Regional World Series at “Jay Littleton Ballpark” in Ontario. Art has an 8 year old son named AJ (Art Jr) and enjoys spending time with his family, barbecuing, and playing in adult softball leagues. Arnold Mathias currently works for San Bernardino Police Department and has been in law enforcement since 2005. He has a B.A. in Criminal Justice and enjoys teaching as a way to give back to the community. He believes it is crucial to assist young members of society with mentorship and direction of the law.
