welcome Every August, for more than 50 years, Christians have come together for a week on the beautiful west coast of Wales to be refreshed by the Word. Organised by the Evangelical Movement of Wales, the conference has grown to accommodate more than 1,500 Christians, but has kept a reputation for warm fellowship and plenty of opportunity to meet new friends. The programme is focused around the morning Bible Readings where David Meredith will preach from God’s Word. These sessions will give everyone an opportunity to go deep into the Bible. Seminars run during the day dealing with key areas of the Christian life, helping equip us to better serve our God. In the evenings we come together again for an opportunity to worship God and hear his Word preached. Every day there is also time to join with others to pray. During the Bible Readings children aged six months to 14 years can attend their very own Bible-based sessions. A stream of meetings speci cally for those aged 15-25 runs throughout the week and several fellowship meetings for adults give further opportunity for re ection and discussion. There are also plenty of other things to do. You can visit the Mission Exhibition, enter the sports tournament, support the open air work on the seafront and go on the church history trip. You may just prefer to enjoy the beautiful west Wales coast relaxing with friends, both old and new, and re ecting on all you’ve heard. It’s your holiday, so it really is up to you. We’re sure you’ll nd the EMW Aberystwyth Conference 2015 both challenging and upli ing so why not come and be refreshed by the Word? A warm welcome awaits you. 2

We warmly invite you to join us at the Church Leaders Training Day . It will be a day of biblical training, honest Christian advice and warm fellowship. Put simply – we hope it will be a day to help you. This year the main theme of our sessions will be safety. We live in a world that is often obsessed with safety, but what does real safety look like? And how are we to organise our churches whilst following the Bible and trying to follow Government legislation? Together we will have the opportunity to explore how a Biblical leader of a church should respond to some of the challenges we face today both practically (e.g. child safety) and spiritually (e.g. leading a church). Examples of the sessions this year: • The Lordship of Christ • Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults • Walking with God as a Church Leader • Panel Question and answer • Planning for youth work • Safely navigating your way through charity legislation • Safely reading the Bible as a church • Loving the weak – disability and church life • Church Discipline?
