Espejo A., apunta que Vallejo, allá en su Trujillo querido; se divertía y divertía a todos, al mofarse de poemas ajenos, a los que, con gran ingenio, les cambiaba las rimas y el sentido original. Vallejo incubó siempre esto desde joven, siempre ironizando alrededor de la cultura y sus manifestaciones más respingadas. Así, con respecto a la literatura Vallejo a veces era un majadero. Cuenta Juan Espejo Asturrizaga en “César Vallejo. Itinerario del hombre” que en Trujillo solía burlarse de poemas ajenos cambiándoles las rimas y los sentidos con tanto ingenio que divertía a todos, y era algo que duraba días. También hacía estos juegos con expresiones doctas, moralejas y máximas con una insistencia pueril. Su tendencia a ser desequilibrante lo llevaba incluso a demostrar su propia condición de poeta –entono divertido… presentándose a veces como vulg ar y altamente monetarizado.
