SWANBOURNE PRIMARY SCHOOL The Coordinator of Regional Operations of the Kimberley District Education Office collected the hire trailer during his own time for our school. I know that he cut short a Saturday morning fishing expedition to ensure that we were able to get our trailer from the hirer. The Swanbourne staff who use their personal and professional networks (built up over 20 years) to one purpose - for the advantage of the SPS students. The staff at the Port Smith Caravan Park went out of their way to ensure that the students and staff were comfortable during our stay. A combination of seemingly insignificant acts but when combined they enable a very unique program to proceed. I must also thank Simon and Emma Bedbrook for their invitation (and encouragement) to speak about the Bidyadanga program to members of Impact100 . This opportunity enabled Amber Banfield and myself to promote the aims and benefits of the program as well as building support for our efforts in 2015 and beyond. The response from attendees and their support was very, very encouraging. Aside from the opportunity to promote the program it was also very enjoyable to be able to meet a group of generous and supportive individuals. Thank you Simon and Emma and Impact100. This time of the year is a very busy time for most schools and the school has planned a number of activities to mark the end of the school year. I encourage all to keep an eye on the school calendar and to enter important dates into family diaries. A minor change has occurred for the year six graduation ceremony. The school was informed that the Premier, Hon Mr Barnett is not available for the year six graduation ceremony. A number of school programs that have been undertaken over the preceding years are undergoing a complete review for 2015. Some existing programs may be discontinued. In 2015 the following staffing changes will occur. The list below represents the changes that are known at this point in time. 1. Mrs Rebecca Storer 2. Mrs Michelle Wiemann 3. Mrs Laura Machlin 12. Mr Colin Murphy The changes noted above are an amalgam of leave entitlements and personal considerations. There may also be changes / additions to the administration staff for 2015. Lincoln Day Principal PAGE 2
