Objective Students will demonstrate knowledge of term or concept chosen. Students will create a short film Students will work collaboratively Students will share and critique their own work and others Apps and Materials Animate It! App Pocket app Animation materials may include but not limited to clay, action figures, Play-Doh, found materials, Paper, cut outs. Procedure Before lesson introduced students must first become familiar with the app Animate It! This will be conducted on the first class with the project introduction at the end of the hour and group assigned and discussion of topic choice presented. A discussion of material choices discussed. Second class time students decide on group topic choice and begin their project. Groups are allowed to choose from a list of art terms and concepts. Examples include: Cubism, Color wheel, color mixing, Forms, Shapes, Patterns, Brush strokes etc. No groups may have the same term. Groups then use the app Animate It! To demonstrate the meaning of the term creatively. Students can save on the IPad to the camera roll. The movie then will be shared to the Drop box according to project instructions, Assessment Grading will be done using a rubric including a self-assessment and a group assessment. Students will also submit a critique of one other group’s animation.
