Matt’s Favorite Recipes 1 First Course Spaghettti Potato Soup First Course Spaghetti  Box of spaghetti  A 12 inch pan  A 5 quart pot  A stove  A silicone spoon  Serving spoon  Water First to cook the spaghetti you will need to fill the 5 quart pot with 3 quarts of warm water. Then you will need to boil it, so put the pot on the stove and put the flame level to high. When the water is starting to boil take the spaghetti out of the box and break all of them in half and set them in the water. Then wait about 9 minutes for the noodles to cook all the way. You can stir in those 9 minutes. Finally, after the 9 minutes turn the stove to low. Potato Soup  2 tablespoons butter  3/4 cup finely chopped onion  2 cups peeled and diced potatoes  1 1/2 cups water  1/2 teaspoon salt  1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper  1 3/4 cups milk  1 tablespoon dried parsley Melt butter in saucepan over medium heat; cook and stir onion until lightly browned, about 10 minutes. Add potatoes, water, dill weed, salt, and pepper to onion; bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until potatoes are tender and water is almost all evaporated, at least 30 minutes. Stir milk and bacon bits into potato mixture; bring to a boil. Remove from heat and stir parsley into soup.
