The SUMT Leadership course covers: The distinctiveness of Christian Leadership; Integrity; Objective setting; Flightplans; Time management; Overcoming obstacles; Communication; Mentoring; Discipleship; Building teams; Enabling engagement; Culture and Worldview; Relevant evangelism; Spiritual gifts and more. It works through what we can gain from the spirituality of various Christian traditions, and is delivered in an interactive, engaging way with time allocated to earth teaching straight away and regular reviews of progress. Now in three sections (October, January and April) it's more accessible, and you can choose to dip in, come to a whole section, or the entire thing!
Application pack foe one and two year trainee placements with SUMT on the Isle of Man. A fully funded year (or two) with the exception of your spending money, involving tons of opportunities to test your calling to children and youth work, or just to serve God for a year in a beautiful place!
A fictional look at what it might feel like for a manx girl heading into reception this coming academic year, and working through all the things SUMT help churches to put into place.
This is a super-slimmed down version of the new ten-year vision for SUMT. It simply contains the vision, and how to help make it a reality for our Island's churches and schools.
Here is a full outline of the exciting place we believe God wants to take us as a local charity set on supporting churches and schools with an all-island view of faith-within-reach. It goes from our research and the big core idea, through hopes & fears, vision and strategy, to our identity, human resources, and funding needs. Written in our usual 'light and engaging' way, hopefully you finish the newsletter feeling like the future for faith on the IOM is bright and hopeful.
