scored a 1720 on the test; what caused this massive difference in scores? Benn knew exactly what the change was a result of: his guitar lessons (Cole). When Benn got home, before he could even brag about his higher SAT scores, his parents sat him down around the table to address another topic: Benn's grades had gone up impressively (“Playing musical ”). His parents explained that they were thrilled that their son had become a straight A student. He immediately knew this was also due to his guitar lessons, but he had to be sure. While walking home from school the next day, Benn asked Brandon and Hayden if they noticed any changes in their lives after they started guitar lessons. “My grades started going up and I felt pretty good about myself since I was making some cool music,” Hayden admitted. “Same here,” Brandon shortly replied. “I have noticed that too; my grades are going up, and it is cool to know that learning something new doesn't h ave to be all numbers or letters like in school,” Benn informed. Benn continued to take lessons for the following year, and by the time he was done, he was a full-fledged guitarist. Due to his grades increasing so significantly, he was able to get into the college of his dreams: the University of Georgia. He went on to study music theory and now gives guitar lessons to aspiring musicians.
