him is a giant pair of football pads that took up three fourths of his body. He is forced to wear them during every practice since his father signed him up behind his back. The memory of that is surfing through Stan’s mind. One week earlier. Stan’s dad, Michael Johnson, went to meijer to get some groceries for next week's school lunches. He was about to exit the superstore until something caught his eye. He noticed something very bright on the Meijer bulletin board. When he walked up to the board, he noticed that it was one of those football sign up sheets. He was about to take one, but then he decided to ask his son first. Stan’s dad went home. He asked Stan about the football sign up. Stan said that football was dumb and he doesn’t want to play. Stan and his Dad got into an argument, he was trying to tell his dad that he wanted to play baseball. Stan’s dad wouldn’t listen. Stan ran upstairs and didn’t talk to his dad for the rest of the night. One week later Stan is signed up for Muskegon football. Just remembering that night made Stan’s blood boil. But Stan is stuck into this so now he has to do it. Stan and the rest of his teammates huddled around their new coach. The coach then reluctantly introduced himself. “ Hello young superstars. Welcome to the first practice of your Muskegon football career. My name is coach Malarky, and I will be your coach this year”. Everyone then replied. “Hi Coach Malarky”.
