END POLIO NOW: On February 23 rd the Rotary Club of Chicago will hold its weekly meeting in the evening instead of the normal luncheon. As it’s 105 th Anniversary, ROTARY/One will designate all proceeds from the evening to the END POLIO NOW Chal- lenge Campaign. Rotary International and its Foundation have launched a campaign to raise $200,000,000 to match a grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation of $350,000,000 with the hope that upon its completion Polio has been eradicated from the face of the earth. Only four countries still have reported cases. Rotary International is sponsoring a Lighting Show where the Wrigley Building on Michigan Avenue will be illuminated with END POLIO NOW! A number of other internation- ally renown cities will also have architecturally significant facilities lite on Rotary’s anniversary.
