On the day my parents got married, you could tell that love was in the air. They were married on April 15, 2000. It was in Charles City, Virginia. Evelynton, which is just outside of Richmond, to be exact. It was supposed to be outside, but with the pouring rain, they had to make it inside. My father was wearing his grandfather’s ring, which was over 60 years old. He proposed to my mother with his grandmother’s ring, and that is how my parents got married. When I went to Costa Rica, you could tell it was going to be fun. But before I was there, I had to get there. The plane ride was 6 hours long. It was pretty fun, as I was playing cards most of the time. Once we got there, we got our luggage, the car, and took off! Our first stay was in the rain forest, with an amazing view of a volcano. There, we went horseback riding, hiking and swimming. After 3 days we moved on to a villa by the beach. There, we had a backyard, a pool, and beach access. After 3 days of fun, part of it being zip lining and surfing, we had to go home. The flight back was 7 hours long, but still fun. That is a summary of my trip and time in Costa Rica! When I started Cary Academy, I was so excited. My sister had been going there for 2 years. I was very excited to get my own computer. I had thought it would be easy, but I was wrong. Even in math it was, and is, hard. Recently I have been doing better, but I would like better grades. That will be by me, but I can do it. That is my experience at CA in a nutshell. In 7 th grade, I plan to make the blue soccer team. I would like to be a goalie on the team. If that doesn’t work out, then I would like to be striker. In order to make the team, I will have to train by playing and practicing soccer. I already play outdoor, but I will have to start playing indoor soccer. My friends will help me become good enough to make the team. All of this, over a period of 1 year, will help me make the blue soccer team. When I started boy scouts, I was so excited for camping. Even now I am excited for my next trip. I love it because it lets me see my friends and do cool things. Last trip we saw an airshow. There are many ranks in boy scouts. They are: scout, tenderfoot, second class, first class, star, life, and eagle. I am almost a tenderfoot. To advance to the next rank you will have to do a series of requirements. They are usually relatively easy. All of this and more is why I liked, and still do like, boy scouts. My great-grandfather was an amazing man. He was funny, kind and willing to let others go first. He would always be bringing my brother and I gum drops. He was living a good life. But then he fell and broke his back. He was paralyzed.
