RUBBER STAMP projects is an initiative created by artists for artists in an effort to promote a diversity of projects and artists, as well as serving as a link between Latin America and the United States’ evolving art scene. For this project at Art Spot Miami, we have created an array of artists with superior quality work. This project is intended to help them increase their exposure in the Miami art scene. As directors of the project, Isabel Brinck (Chile, 1965) and Laura Villarreal (Mexico, 1971), both artists living and working in Miami, prepared this project by releasing a call for artists and after a careful selection process, they released RUBBER STAMP projects’ first initiative: A group of 13 artists, emerging and mid-career, most of them working and living in Latin America and a select group of international locally based artists, with the intention of creating a dialogue between their work. The artists selected to participate in this year’s fair are exceptional in their creative expression and will provide a diverse array of media to the visiting public, making this a great opportunity for each one of them to show their work in a multicultural environment.
