Does designating to private schools (JFCA) hurt public schools? No! The Georgia Qualied Educational Expense Credit does not impact unding to public schools. How are the funds distributed to students? JFCA’s Board o Directors established a scholarship policy which distributes the unds. How does the designation process work? It is very simple! Visit georgiasso.us . Use the simple and easy 1-Step Online Designation Process. When you le your initial application, you will wait or your ‘pre-approval’ orm electronically rom the Department o Revenue. Once you receive approval, you will have 30 days to make your designation using check or credit card. So why am I making a payment if it doesn’t cost me anything more than what I already owe to Georgia? The payment is a prepayment o your tax obligation or 2015. You can choose to adjust your monthly state tax withholdings or wait or your 2015 Georgia State Tax Reund (which is led and received in 2016). When do I need to make my 2015 designation? As soon as possible! In 2014 the unds allotted or the QEE program ran out in 23 days! GASSO is accepting online applications now and we need individuals and corporations to participate! Are other private schools eligible for this program? We know there are many ne Christian schools in our area that JF amilies support. I your student’s school has led with an SSO, it is also eligible or these unds. Check with your school or more inormation. Making a designation is easy!
