Amy was right it started to snow even harder than before it was like a waterfall pouring down as hard as it could possibly go. “ I must go I will be back and I will find your father and if not stay here until someone comes to find you I will take charlie with me and a bit of food so I will be just fine.” Although Amy's mother sounded like she was going to be okay, her face showed that she was misdoughting herself in this decision. To make her feel better Amy said “Mother you are very brazen!” Mother kissed Amy on the cheek and went out the door and went into the snowstorm and got Charlie out of his pen and without hesitation took of on the horse looking for her husband. By now John was crying more than ever Amy took his hand and she soothed him for a bit by the fire singing to him his favourite song “twinkle twinkle little star”. She sang and sang and the seconds went by turning into minutes and the minutes went by turning into hours and the whole time the snow kept falling and falling by this time Amy and John were both asleep on the couch the clock that was in the house on a red wall was ticking “tick... tick...tick…” the mice were nibbling on the buttery popcorn that had fallen to the ground then they scattered every which way because there was something at the door there was the sound of shuffling from outside… the doorknob started to move slowly and two figures walk in, the cold air washed into the house and woke Amy and John with a scream, they saw two snow covered figures. The white figures started to undress from their snowy clothes and they started to look like their mother and father but was it really there mothe na father they did not look like it their clothes were frozen together they were ripped and the color was worn out of them, the figures faces were purple and snow covered them head to toe and made them so stiff. “ Mother… Father is that you?” Amy said in a frightened voice “Yes it is dear… help us get these things off!!” said Amy’s mother Amy started to help take her mother snow clothes off when she was done she sat her mother on the couch and started to help her father when they were all sat on the couch. Amy noticed that there was blood running down her mothers leg. “Mother what happened to your leg?” Mother and father looked at each other and their faces turned pale with exhaustion Amy's father started to answer her question “ Amy… well… you see when your mother was in the mountains with charlie a pack of wolves started to attack her and the horse… It is not your mother's blood it is charlies… he was killed by those wolves.” A tear started to run down Amy’s cheek all the memories started to flow to her about charlie and how he was such a lovely horse and was so gentle and was the noblest horse of his kind then she brushed the tear away and said “It well I really miss Charlie but if one of you two or even John had died I would have missed you more.” Amy’s eyes started to fill with tears again and she let all of her sadness and worry down and she fell
