Welcome to our 2013 Community Impact Report, which we will be presenting annually to our fundholders, grantees and the community in lieu of our annual financial report. This report will highlight the previous year’s granting activity, identify the outcome of that activity and showcase some extraordinary regional philanthropists and the impact of their generosity.
The Greater Sacramento Generosity Project At the Foundation’s Annual Meeting on May 25th, Chair of the Generosity Project’s Steering Committee, Scott Hanson, unveiled a vision of vibrancy and widespread community commitment to this region’s nonprofit organizations.
Looking back over the past few years of economic difficulty for our region, the Foundation has seen exponential growth in our impact on community needs with minimal change in our operating funds. While economic reality has set in, we have reinvented the way we operate to use limited resources as a springboard to great accomplishments.
In the past year, the Foundation fulfilled its mission with two significant strategies: first, by dedicating resources to help organizations reach success with a final push toward their goal, and second, by advancing the GiveLocalNow initiative to grow philanthropy.
