Information contained in this tool has been adapted from “The Road to a Healthy Life “based on the Dietary Guidelines for Americans and the United States Department of Agriculture 2010 MyPlate . The guidelines provide authoritative advice for Americans ages 2 and older about consuming fewer calories, making informed food choices, and being physically active to attain and maintain a healthy weight, reduce risk of chronic disease, and promote overall health. Guidelines for 0 to 2 are based on currently available evidence from expert sources. Remember: This booklet is just a guide; always be sure to follow your heal thcare provider’s advice.
