It is a time for looking back and new beginnings. In the New Year the HOUR Exchange will continue to build on the solid foundation as an organization—12 years and counting. Here are some of the projects we have started to make 2015 our best year yet! Making the HOUR currency more avail- able. e HOURS organization has recently added a new option for people to get involved who may not have the time to participate as a listing member. As an organization, the HOUR Exchange earns HOURS for member dues and display advertisements in the newspa- per. We are now oering the option for people to purchase these circulated HOURS from us at face value, based on availability. is will en- able folks to use HOURS if they don't have any on hand. Many people have requested this, and we are happy to have found a way to do this. In this way the HOURS can be given as gifts, like a gift certicate or just placed in your wallet to ensure the business you are buying from also buys local. See the HOURS info booth at our events, complete the sec- tion on the membership form, or visit our website: www.hourexchange.org. In the section about local currency there is an option to purchase HOURS. In 2015, look for our market place trading events again. Our commitment to facilitate the circulation of HOURS has been evident as we added two more events in 2014. We will be considering whether we can sus- tain the additional events in 2015. Be sure that you are on our email list to nd out how to get involved with these events to create your own connections to this vibrant community (sign up at www.hourexchange.org). People support people they know, so come out and get to know your fellow HOUR Traders! Volunteers are always welcome to help out on our events committee! Love local currency? Like working with great folks to get things done? Have some organizing skills to lend? e Board of Trustees is seeking energetic team players to help oversee the operations of the board.
