Come down, we chant. Come down. The air is still As the silence vibrates And then A drop of rain touches our souls And we dance between the wind So begins “Dancing between the Wind,” a poem about family, the beauty of nature, freedom of mind, and ice cream! Just kidding. Yes, there’s an ice cream truck in this book, but in the end, there’s a little surprise, and a lesson that every child must take to heart. Lovingly written and illustrated by Catherine Mai, “Dancing between the Wind” is a book that should grace every child’s shelf, for it talks about the dignity in being different.
