Season Shape 2015 Two ’ s The second eleven start the 2015 season in the South Yorkshire Senior Cricket League Division Three West. The League having absorbed the teams from the Sheffield Alliance Cricket League have split divisions three and four into east and west. Each division has twelve teams and promotion and relegation will be decid- ed by play offs. After last seasons strong finish Coal Aston CC could well feature in an exciting season ’ s climax.. Three ’ s The third eleven have been promoted to Division Three in the Yorkshire and Der- byshire Cricket League. They start their campaign a week later than the first two teams on Saturday 25th April with a local derby at home to Dronfield Woodhouse CC. The promotion has come about as Apperknowle ‘ s first and second teams have decided to play their cricket in the Derbyshire League. Four ’ s The fourth eleven also start their campaign on April 25th, also a local derby away at Sheffield Transport. The IV ’ s are competing in a reduced league due to the expulsion of sides who failed to fulfill their fixtures in 2013/14. The IV ’ s will play each side three times making a total of 18 league matches but unfortunately have no cup competitions to play . This will give them a couple of Saturdays off through- out the season.. Sunday ’ s There is no change to the divisions the Sunday teams are competing in, The Sun- day firsts compete in Section One and the two ’ s in Section Two. Realistically the 2’ s would have preferred to have been relegated but high praise as the league consider the side worthy of the status of a Section Two team. Both sides kick off 2015 on Sunday 19th of April. The one ’ s are at home tp Kirby Portland and the Two ’ s are away to South Wingfield. Garage Development Update The proposed garage develop- ment has suffered some adminis- trative hitches beyond the control of CACC management committee. The local authorities have now completed the paper work to the satisfaction of Sport England. All necessary obstacles have been removed and the approved con- tractor will commence work short- ly. Unfortunately the work will not be completed before the beginning of the 2015 season and alas some disruption will be inevitable. The development will see the dem- olition of the old garage with a larger replacement and a scorebox above Coal Aston CC Juniors are hoping to build on last year ’ s success. The club will again enter teams in the North Derbyshire Youth Cricket League. The club will be represented at U11 softball, UL11, U12, pairs cricket and U13, U15 T20 cricket.
