www.chamberbloomington.org September 16, 2014 Page 2 Opportunities & Events “Lost Now Found” is September's Atrium Exhibit – During the month of September, the City of Bloomington En- tertainment and Arts District (BEAD) will showcase photo- graphs curated by Bloomington photographers Dave Derkacy and Sarah McAleer in the Atrium of City Hall, 401 N. Morton St. The exhibit is on display Sept. 8 - 30. Exhibition hours are 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and Saturdays 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. The City of Bloomington is committed to providing opportunities for area artists to exhibit artwork at City Hall. Join the Monroe County Energy Challenge - This community-wide effort to reduce energy use across Bloom- ington and Monroe County is hosting a kickoff event. The Monroe County Energy Challenge (MCEC) Task Force invites residents to attend a community meeting on September 16 from 4:30-6:00 p.m. in Council Chambers at City Hall. Resi- dents will be asked to brainstorm actions and programs that will help save energy (and $$$!) and help the community's efforts to compete for a $5 mil prize. LCW Annual Meeting - Mental Health Concerns – The Local Council of Women will hold its’ Annual Meeting on Thursday, Sept. 18 from 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at Bloomington Meadows Hospital. At this event, there will be a panel discus- sion on mental health concerns . Additionally, Mark Moore will give an update on IU Health Bloomington Hospital. There is no charge - lunch will be provided by Bloomington Mead- ows Hospital. 4th End of Life Concerns – The Role of the Care- taker – This event will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 23 from 7:30-9:00 p.m. at IU Health Bloomington Hospital – Wegmil- ler Auditorium. This event is part of a series discussing end of life concerns. The topic is about the role of the caretaker dur- ing the end of life stages. This event is open to all ages. There is no charge for this event. Refreshments will be provided.
