2 Figure 1 - Anselmo Manfredini in his military uniform circa 1910-1912 3 Anselmo was Gaspero and Cristina's fourth son. Anselmo was born in Sant’Annapelago on November 6 th , 1883. He was the first child of Gaspare and Cristina to come to the United States. He boarded on the S.S. La Lorraine (see section on ships) which sailed from the port of Le Havre, France on May 4 th , 1901. He arrived in the United States on May 12th, 1901. Anselmo was 17 years old even though the ship manifest states he was 18. His occupation was listed as farmer. He had $35.00 and was meeting his uncle Luigi Manfredini who had arrived in 1900 and lived at 1049 Fulton Avenue (See Luigi Manfredini (1865- 1930) for more info on address). He traveled on the ship named La Lorraine (see Section of ships). Here is a picture of the ship's manifest where he is listed as passenger #17.
