WHAT IS ALLI?

ALLi (The Alliance of Independent Authors) is a non-profit professional association for authors who self-publish.

Our alliance offers connection and collaboration, advice and education, advocacy and representation to writers who want to self-publish well. Our motto is Working together to help each other.

Oh, and our name is pronounced “ally” (al-eye not al-ee) because we are your self-publishing ally!

Founded by Orna Ross, a trade-published author turned indie, ALLi launched at London Book Fair 2012 and has quickly grown to have thousands of members and followers, all over the world. Our members help each other to publish well and sell books in different territories.

We offer many Member-Only Benefits, including a closed online forum, author guides, We also run regular seminars and events and a popular blog and author advice centre for the wider indie-author community and we campaign and advocate on behalf of self-publishers, everywhere.

We also (through MeetUp.com) run real life meetings all over the world and encourage our members to connect with other indie authors locally. We have are ambassadors in eight publishing territories and an active Street Team of authors working together for each other, across Africa, Australasia, Canada, Europe, India, South America, UK and USA.

We also host Indie Author Fringe Online Conferences.
