Grade 7 and 8’s each created sub-questions based on the class inquiry question. Students did individual research around the sub-questions, with our topic of study being the Holocaust. Along the way, students learned about note-taking, viewing, and research skills. To share learning, students had to choose a format in which to answer the inquiry question in a creative way. While the subject matter was often difficult, it was important to learn about the injustices that occurred, and draw conclusions about what our responsibilities to others truly are.
