during all of the consecutive days of absence, then the Employee will incur only one (1) point for the entire absence. Employees will incur four (4) points for each workday that they are absent if the unexcused absence occurs on a scheduled holiday, and may be subject to additional disciplinary action. Employees will not incur points for absence due to approved leave, such as family medical leave, bereavement leave, military duty, jury duty, approved vacations, holidays, and work-related injuries. 4.Tardy Points. Employees will incur one-half (½) of a point for each tardy occasion. 5.Summary of Points. The following chart summarizes how points are incurred. VIOLATION POINTS Tardy / Leave Early ½ Absent 1 Absent on Scheduled Holiday 4 Failure to Call In 4 6.Corrective Discipline. Corrective discipline will be issued based upon the number of points incurred over a rolling twelve (12) month period. Thus, points received from an occurrence of absence, tardiness, or failure to call in that occurred more than twelve (12) months ago will fall off the list of incurred points and not be used for issuing discipline. The level of discipline that an employee receives for incurred points under this policy is based upon the following criteria: FULL-TIME EMPLOYEES • Two points within a 12-month period: Verbal warning • Four points within a 12-month period: Written warning • Eight points within a 12-month period: Final Written warning • Ten points within a 12-month period: Further discipline up to and including termination PART-TIME EMPLOYEES • One point within a 12-month period: Verbal warning • Two points within a 12-month period: Written warning • Four points within a 12-month period: Final Written warning • Five points within a 12-month period: Further discipline up to and including termination Corrective discipline in this policy is in addition to action that may be taken when cumulative time lost from work for any reason substantially reduces the employee’s services to the Company. Corrective discipline received by an employee under this policy may be considered by supervisors when determining the level of discipline to issue for other violations of company policy.
