Youth Group News Children are a true blessing! I have found that teaching and encouraging our children is a very rewarding experience. Proverbs 22:6 says "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it." Teaching our children the Word of God is the only way to prepare them for their most important life decision - where will they spend eternity? Children's Bible Time seeks to teach children stories from the Bible, teach them about God and how much He loves us, and teach how we can apply those truths in our daily lives. This class has a lot of fun, too! They have been studying Jesus' miracles for the month of July and have enjoyed reenacting these wonderful stories. Our class has been growing and we are so blessed to have the opportunity to teach these future church leaders! Please encourage and pray for our precious children and all of our wonderful teachers. We want to make sure our children have every opportunity to become strong, faithful Christians. In His work, Stace Phillips Communion Service Communion service is available for anyone who is unable to attend Sunday services. Either weekly or occasional service is available. There were families from all over Arizona and many churches represented. Don’t forget the “ Sold Out ” youth rally coming up on August 8th-9th. God Bless, Bill Children’s Summer Reading Program Ready, Set, READ! The Children’s Summer Reading Program will run through next Sunday, August 3rd . Our goal for this program is to encourage our children to read from God’s word daily and instill the importance of reading God’s word for a lifetime. There will be weekly prizes for children who read (or are read to) daily from the Bible or a Bible story. Parents need to initial the daily reading log and children bring those Sunday to claim their prize. Please see the table in the foyer for infor- mation or ask Stace and Heather Phillips . Thank you! Children’s Song Starting next Sunday, August 3, the Children’s Song will be moved to the beginning of the morning service instead of between Communion and the Offering. Parents of young children are encouraged to have them in the auditorium ready to sing at 10:30 AM . Our Dearest Brethren, We want to give our thanks to God for you and all you are doing in His kingdom. We wanted to share a few of the things that God has been accomplishing with us here in the Valley. First, there is now a Salt River congregation meeting every Sunday to worship our Father in heav- en. The Salt-River Pima Community Center is where we assemble to worship every Sunday at 1p.m. We average about 35 souls every Sunday and about 20 for our mid-week Bible study times. There have been 4 souls restored back to the Lord and 10 people have been baptized into Christ. We are excited to see the number of visi- tors that are invited by our brothers and sisters in Christ. The number of young Christians is also very encouraging to witness. There are about 12 people all between the ages of 19-25. This is a prime age group as we think about them grow- ing and learning the ways of the Lord and hope for many great and productive years in His ser- vice. Thank you for all your prayers and sup- port. In His service, Josh Austin and family Mark Your Calendar On August 3rd, Josh Austin will be teaching the Bible Class in the auditorium and also delivering the morning lesson. From the Mission Field
