F.I.T. Friday Incentive Time Term 4 is underway and lots of exciting new FIT activities will be introduced throughout the term. FIT is a great opportunity for students to celebrate and reward their own behaviour for the week. There are plenty of activities to choose from to cater for all interests. Students who have not received an orange or red form for the week participate in FIT. Students who receive an orange or red form for the week participate in mentoring time with an allocated teacher. They practice and discuss causes and effects of the incident and participate in social skills activities such as sharing, emotion management and turn taking. Granfriends Day Grandparents, carers and parents are all invited to join us on Friday 31 st October, to celebrate Grandfriends Day at Tenambit Public School. From 1.00pm onwards Granfriends are invited to visit our classrooms, this will be followed by afternoon tea at 1.30pm in the school hall. During the afternoon students will present a selection of musical items for their Granfriends. The items will be presented in stage groups. We know how hard grandparents and carers work in getting kids to school and giving them all the support they need to succeed, and we would like to express our appreciation. We hope to see you there. Aussie Bush Camp - Year 3 and 4 Last week, those families still owing money for GABC should have received an invoice. A reminder that full payment of $240 is due this Friday, 17th October. Stage 2 students received information today regarding what they should pack in their suitcases and the activities that they will participate in while away at camp. The medical and activity consent forms that were sent home last week, should be returned to class teachers as soon as possible. Souvenir money should only be brought to school on the day of camp, in a clearly labelled envelope. If you have any questions about any of the camp information, please contact either Miss Palmowski or Mrs O Shea. HELP IS NEEDED!!!!! I am trying to find some parents/carers of our wonderful Tenambit Public School who may be interested in sewing some chair covers for our Year 6 Farewell this year. They will not only be used for our annual farewell but we will be able to use them for other functions we have here at school. I have a copy of one that has been made at another school for you to look at. If you love to sew and have some spare time I would love to hear from you. We will supply the material and all you need to do is sew. If you can help us out in anyway, please come and see Mrs Brathwaite either before or after school or call me on my mobile – 0432 347 190.
