Prerequisite Skills Needed: Familiar with IPad and navigation of internet. How will you teach students the objectives identified above. Introduction: Each student will be given an IPad and Senior Info Sheet with the QR Code printed on it. A question/answer session about what goes on during the senior year will be held. Main Activity: I will review the Senior Info Sheet containing upcoming dates, CEEB codes, Testing codes, etc., students will then be asked to download a QR reader on the given IPad. After downloading the reader, students will find the QR code on the info sheet and scan. This code will take them to the Guidance webpage and I will review where to find the Guidance - Google calendar and how to navigate. Emphasis will be on upcoming important dates for seniors. Students will be encouraged to check the Guidance calendar frequently for upcoming college representative visits and important dates and information throughout senior year. Conclusion: Each student will be given an index card requesting a student email address and a parent email address for communication purposes. Also on the card, parents are asked to grant permission for their student to attend the Southeast Ohio College Fair Day on Tuesday, September 16 th , by bus to be held at Hocking College from 9 a.m – 12 p.m. Students are to return the index cards to English Teacher, Mr. Griffith, no later than Friday, September 12 th . Extension: Students will return index cards with email addresses for me to create a database and share the senior calendar with parents and students. The cards will also serve as the permission slips needed by the district in order for the student to attend the College Fair Day.
