About the Golf Queensland Project Celebrating its centenary in May 2014, Golf Queensland is working with State Library of Queensland to deliver a range of social media-based programs. These programs include a digital golfing in Queensland exhibition in Flickr, an interactive digital experience of current and past golf clubs through Historypin, and an online presence to golf clubs in Wikipedia. A key outcome for the project is for every member Golf Club to collect, digitise and describe its memorabilia for golfing generations to come. This Social Media DIY Toolkit has been created for Golf Queensland member clubs to provide them with the instructions to: • collect, digitise and describe its own memorabilia • create their own Wikipedia page, using the Wikipedia page template • run their own event to capture and promote their unique history A series of workshops providing member clubs with practical, hands-on experience to implement this Social Media Toolkit will also be delivered.
