Pg. 2 “Citizenship comprises rights as well as responsibili- ties and duties. To become a citizen of the year, therefore, necessarily implies that the recipient is someone who has fulfilled their responsibilities and performed their duties. No less can be said of Coy Cockrum.” Coy was awarded “Citizen of the Year” on November 13, by the Benton-West City Chamber of Commerce . He would like to thank everyone for calling in their votes and we couldn’t be more proud of Coy’s achievements this past year. We are very happy to have Coy as part of our team here at Shawnee. Recognizing Citizen of the Year 2014 Coy Cockrum Coy & Rhonda Gilbreath, Chamber President Shawnee had the privilege to present at the November IRWA Chapter 12 meeting in Springfield, Illinois. The meeting began with an informative presentation from Carol Bellinger, dealing with Strategic Project Delivery. We then did our presentation, which was very well received due in part to our introduction of comedy within our presentation. Mitch Garrett, Billy Abernathy, and Dan Field were definitely the comic relief while maintaining our professional attitude toward work. Shane Shelby did an exemplary job of shedding light on the technical aspects of the data processing. He also explained the massive amount of data that can be obtained with the UAV technology, as well as the many applications. Our goal was to inform the attendees of who we are and give a little preview of what it might be like to work with our company. We wanted to show that we were profession- al and knowledgeable, while also being fun to work with. We also wanted to ensure that the people attending were aware that the UAV didn’t take pictures but that it was raw data with GPS and Geo Tagged information imbedded within the photos. We would like to thank Mitch, Billy, Dan, Shane and Jayce for the effort and time they put into this.
