If Letterman makes all of his scheduled broadcasts until then, CBS said he will have hosted 6,028 ver- sions of the “Late Show” and its NBC predecessor, “Late Night.” Letterman moved to CBS in 1993. “David Letterman has given to all of us a remarkable legacy of achievement and creative brilliance that will never be for- gotten,” said Leslie Moonves , CBS Corp. president and CEO. “It’s going to be tough to say goodbye, but I know we will all cherish the shows leading up to Dave’s final broadcast in May.” Woman files defamation lawsuit against Bill Cosby BOSTON (AP) — A woman who has accused Bill Cosby of sexually assaulting her in the 1970s filed a defamation lawsuit Wednesday against the comedian, alleging he “publicly branded” her a liar through statements made by his lawyer and publicist. VATICAN CITY (AP) — Pope Francis has a new addition to his music collection, and it includes “Like a Virgin.” Italy’s singing nun, Sister Cristina Scuccia, finally met Francis on Wednesday during his general audience. She presented him with a copy of her first CD, which fea- tures a remake of the Madonna hit. Scuccia won the Italian edition of “The Voice” in June with a series of unadorned pop song perfor- mances, romping around the stage in a full habit. While some privately questioned her behavior then, the Italian Bishops’ Conference went public with its criticism this fall when Scuccia included “Like a Virgin” on her first CD. The bishops said it was a commercial ploy. Scuccia defended her decision and said the song was prayer-like. today’s quiz Isaac Asimov’s Super Quiz Subject: POETRY IN FILMS The character, actor/actress and poem title are given. Name the film.
