Does starring in Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce give newlywed Lisa Edelstein second thoughts about marriage? —Peter A., Burbank A: No, but the former House star, 48, who married for the rst time in May of this year, says she has rsthand experience when it comes to divorce: Her husband, artist Robert Russell, was in the middle of a marital breakup when she met him. She says her new show— which airs Tuesday nights on Bravo—is "super smart, honest storytelling.” SCHNEIDER BY JEREMY COWART; STOWE BY BOB DAMICO/ABC; EDELSTEIN BY ANDREW ECCLES/BRAVO; COHEN BY VIRGINIA SHERWOOD/BRAVO; BASEBA LL BY ADAM BETTCHER/GETTY IMAGES; W/ PARKER BY MONICA SCHIPPER/FILMMAGIC/GETTY IMAGES 2 | DECEMBER 28, 2014 WALTER SCOTT ASKS... Stowe, 56, took a break from playing Victoria Grayson on ABC’s Revenge to take on a subject that strikes close to home: multiple sclerosis. This is the rst time you have spoken out publicly about multiple sclerosis. Why now? “My father suffered from it from the time I was very young and he had a very rapid progression of the disease. MS was very hopeless when I was a child.” What do you hope people take away from Genzyme’s Lights, Camera, Take Action on MS campaign? “We’re going to be having a series of meetings around the country with MS patients and their caretakers. It’s my hope that they can become more informed about their options.” You’ve had some heavy confrontations with costar Emily VanCamp on Revenge. When you nish a scene like that, do you laugh to break the tension? “Sometimes it’s emotional, because after four years of playing these characters, you start to take on [their] darkness a little bit.” What is on your bucket list of things still to do? “I would really like to go to Patagonia. I would really like to amenco dance. My daughter [May] is a great amenco dancer. I would like to learn more about that culture. My family all descends from Spain.” Q: I loved John Schneider on Dukes of Hazzard . Now I’m enjoying him on The Haves and the Have Nots , but he plays quite a conniver. What’s the appeal of such an unscrupulous guy? —Julie N., Louisville A: Schneider, 54, went from sweet hunk Bo Duke on Dukes of Hazzard to devious Judge Jim Cryer on The Haves and the Have Nots (Tuesday nights on OWN), created, written and directed by movie- TV mogul Tyler Perry. “I come from a long line of sarcastic people,” he says. “We’re not mean, but we’re fairly witty. So when I get to turn that guy free as Jim Cryer, I even make Tyler Perry look out from behind the monitor and go, ‘Oh my, gosh—did you really say that?’” 3 Highlights of ANDY COHEN’S ‘Shallow’ Year The host of Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live gets ready for 2015 by taking stock of 2014 in his new book, The Andy Cohen Diaries: A Deep Look at a Shallow Year. 1. Cohen, 46, rescued and fell in love with a beagle/ foxhound mixed breed, which he named Wacha, after St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Michael Wacha. 2. A baseball fanatic, he faced his fear of looking inept and played in a Major League Baseball celebrity game. 3.
