Letter from the CEO & Chair of the Board In the past year, East Durham Children’s Initiative (EDCI) has seen that amazing things can be done in the spirit of working together. More East Durham children and families are connected to high-quality supports that keep them on the pathway to success. As we continue into our fourth year of implementation, working together to support children remains at the center of our model. We value our partnerships with more than 30 local organizations that collaborate with EDCI to provide high-quality programs and services in the EDCI Zone. We also acknowledge the many East Durham parents and residents who have invested their time, skills, and feedback in partnering with EDCI to improve outcomes in the East Durham community. The EDCI Zone would be unable to continue to grow and thrive without them. Finally, we thank the philanthropic community for their continued partnership in breaking barriers that stand between EDCI Zone children and their future success. Thanks to the generosity of these donors, East Durham children and families will continue achieving at new heights in school and in life. David Reese, MBA President and CEO W.
