With this being our nominal summer break, it seems an apt time to share with you where we have come rom and where we are going over the next ew editions. In March, Connected replaced Computers In Business, and it was ar more than a re-badging eort. Te most visible aspect o our changes have come in the size o the magazine. Te decision to expand to what is now a regular 56-page publication meant we could cover a broader array o topics without diluting our core ocus on business technology. Te most signi- icant aspect o this came last month with the launch o what is now a regular eight-page section dedicated to consumer tech- nology. Tis has also giv- en us the opportu- nity to expand our team, with Aoie Valentine, Emily Maree, and Lean- na Byrne joining this month, ollowing the additions o Shane O’Leary and Killian Woods in June. Tis isn’t about raw numbers: we want a diversity o voices and these are young, talented writers keep it sharp for summer who will challenge the way our readers think. Despite this technically being our summer break, Connected diers greatly rom its pre- decessor in that we never really go away. Our podcast series which has nally (later than I had planned, I must coness) moved to a weekly basis, will keep you inormed even when there is no magazine to guide you. Feedback has been critical to our progress throughout the past ew months and that isn’t going to change any time soon. In simple terms, I need you. weet me, mail me, interrupt me during coee. I you’ve got an idea, a question, or a comment, I want to hear it. It’s great to have the community that ollows this magazine, but we need more voices, so no one in here gets too comortable. I spend one Sunday morning per month with a cup o coee and an awul lot o vulgarity as, or all the eorts o everyone behind this magazine, there is always something I eel I could have done better. Te more o you I hear rom, the more eed- back I have to work o, the less I’ll swear on a Sunday and the more I’ll enjoy that coee. Fortunately, my fatmate could sleep through a hurricane. Yet, or all o the intensity that goes through the process o getting Connected out, I welcome the chance to sit back and assess where we are going. Lie moves pretty ast; i you don’t stop and look around once in a while you could miss it. We will take stock, we will look at the big picture, and we will listen to you. Wherever the summer takes you, be it the beach barbecues, or ar aeld, be excellent to each other, and party on dudes.
