Established in 1952, the Melbourne International Film Festival has showcased the best local and international films. The concept ‘Immerse Yourself’ promotes the idea of going on a journey to different parts of the world while watching movies. Many people have a desire to visit a particular place and learn it’s culture, and so through the characters we can envision what it’s like to be there. It should inspire the audience to be more involved in culture and social outings. The logo symbolises more than just a film roll, as the circles that surround the smaller shape represent a globe. The logo is timeless which allows it to be used for many years to come. The vibrant colours communicate the different film genres, cultures, and emotions that the audience will feel. The modern style of the logo and typography promotes a friendly, exciting and professional company to clients. As the target audience is more mature, they would be over 30 years old and earn a low to middle salary. They would enjoy watching international films and learning about other cultures and languages.
