On this occasion the mortal remains of Don Franz Mayr (1865-1914) will be taken out at Mbabane. Don Fraz Mayr was born on 06 March 1865; he was a secular priest and a member of the Third Order, founder of St. Joseph’s Mission, Mzimpofu (04 May 1914), and died on 17 October 1914 in Swaziland two days after having received the strapping and piercing of a lance from an indigenous thief. The culprit was convicted to a death penalty. Before the execution of the death penalty, he repented and received baptism from fra Arimathäus M. Gratl (1871-1944), a Servite priest, founder of the Mater Dolorosa Mission Mbabane (06 February 1914). It was the first baptism registered in Mbabane. The Prior General, after having carefully listened to the discussion of the General Council, will reply congratulating them for the great event and delegate fra Sergio M. Ziliani , the Prior Provincial , who will be present for this important occasion in Swaziland. 4.Prior General’s Consent for the Solemn Profession The Prior General gave his consent for the Solemn Profession of fra Victor M. Jaime from the community of Matola (Mozambique), after reviewing the request and the necessary documentation furnished by the Prior Provincial, fra Paulo Sergio M. Angeloni , St. Peregrine Province (). 5.New Friars to St. Alexis F. International Formation Community The following are the new temporary professed friars assigned to St. Alexis Falconieri International Formation Community for the academic year 2014-2015: Kristoforus M. Ruku (/), Paulus M. Nua (/), Stefanus M. Moensaku (/), Jose Adonis M. Bongo (/), Ryan M. Ipili (/), Giacomo M. Malaguti (), Cornelius Uwadiegwu M. Uzoma (), Noé Eliecer M. Lefiman Cheuque (), Suuna Fulgensio M. Ssessolo (/), Luis M. De Luca (), Gerazio M. Kunihira () and Godfrey M. Ssekandi (). The friars Kristoforus M. Ruku (/), Paulus M. Nua (/), Stefanus M. Moensaku (/), Gerazio M. Kunihira () and Godfrey M. Ssekandi (), who arrived recently in Italy, will study the Italian language and stay in the community of SS.ma Annunziata in Florence. They will begin their theological studies in the second semester at the P.F.T. “Marianum”. 6.Beginning of the Academic Year 2014-2015 of ISSR “Monte Berico” Fra Gino Alberto M. Faccioli , the director of the ISSR “Monte Berico” Vicenza, invited the Prior General, the Grand Chancellor of P.F.T. “Marianum” (to which the institute is affiliated), to participate in the inaugural congress of the Academic Year 2014-2015. It will be on 07 November 2014, with the theme “ La cultura del valore, il valore come cultura ”. Since the Prior General will be making his Canonical Visitation to Aikiya Annai Province () in the month of November, he decided to delegate fra Paolo M. Orlandini to represent him. 7.Final Preparations for the General Council’s Meeting with the Priors, Vicar and Delegates Provincial The General Council studied more deeply some additional points and made final decisions for the meeting with Priors, Vicar and Delegates Provincial in London (08-16 September 2014). 8.: Report on the Fraternal Visit to the Fraternities in Mexican Province The General Council studied the report prepared by fra Souriraj M. Arulananda Samy , the General Secretary for and lay groups, after his fraternal visit to the fraternities and lay groups in Mexican Province (08 June – 11 July 2014). 9.Annual Planning of the General Council The General Council studied possible dates and places for its annual planning days. It was decided to do it in Innsbruck from 14 to 20 December 2014. 10.Communications The following communications were given to the General Council: a) : Financial Evaluation. The General Treasurer completed the Financial Evaluation of the Canonical Visitation of the Prior General to the SS.ma Annunziata Province; b) : Financial Contribution. The Venetian Province () asked the SS.ma Annunziata Province () for a financial contribution to the construction of the community in the new parish of Kampala; c) U Council (Rome, 12 August 2014). After the International Congress (Collevalenza, 04- 11 August 2014), on 12 August 2014, the U Council gathered for its meeting at San Marcello, Rome. The Council made a positive evaluation of the Congress based on the written evaluations and observations given by the each participants, taking into consideration the proposal of a date and place for the next U International Congress 2018.
