The American Association of Blacks in Energy (AABE) is a national association of energy professionals founded and dedicated to ensure the input of African Americans and other minorities into the discussions and developments of energy policies regulations, R&D technologies, and environmental issues. Our Chapter

The Virginia Chapter of AABE is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization headquartered in Richmond, VA. Established in 2011, our chapter is currently comprised of approximately seventy (70) members ranging from student interns to entrepreneurs to executives in companies such as Dominion Energy and NiSource (Columbia Gas).

Mission
Our mission is to provide energy professionals, executives, entrepreneurs, and students a pathway to learn and grow within the energy industry through forming professional and leadership development opportunities, networking events, student outreach program promoting STEM education, fundraisers, and community involvement activities.
