Established in 2007, one o the main goals o the ISN Young Nephrologists Committee (YNC) has been to empower young nephrologists rom developing countries by providing programs geared at education, mentoring, and support. A pivotal program that has helped the YNC achieve its goals and ulfl its mission has been the YNC Mentorship Program. During the career path o a young nephrologist, one cannot underscore the importance o mentorship in terms o career development, education, and encouraging young nephrologists to achieve the confdence to be able to realize their proessional goals. With a very successul launch o the mentorship program in 2010, it has been truly exciting to nurture the successul mentor-mentee relationships that have evolved and see how rewarding the experiences have been or both. It is our hope that this program will provide an on-going platorm or collaboration and communication between junior and senior ISN members. We hope that the program will continue to expand and evolve in breath and scope by engaging an increasing the number o potential mentors and mentees while continuing to showcase the many successes o the program in the years to come.
