I’m committed to building a great communications network with our supply chain, based on regular engagement and an open approach. This newsletter is a part of a new communications programme, aiming to involve you earlier in designing and shaping new ideas and solutions. The communications programme also includes forums, roadshows and events, and you’ll hear more about these in the near future. We’ve recently launched a new brand for the Services division, Together we deliver. This has been designed with our people in mind because it’s them who really bring our brand to life – we work as a team to deliver great results, whatever the circumstances. It’s a great theme for this newsletter because it reflects the relationship I want to build with you as an extended part of our team. Going forward, I want to continue to develop trusted, honest relationships where we can challenge each other, providing confident, constructive feedback, addressing problems and delivering joint solutions. There’s some important information in this issue about new systems we’re launching, and also schemes we’re developing to make doing business with us easier. Formed by Action Sustainability in 2012, it has over 6000 members supported by a virtual learning environment which aims to help construction suppliers and sub-contractors develop their sustainability knowledge. It was specifically designed to address the sustainability challenges faced by the construction industry, enabling it to benefit from new opportunities. Members range from industry associations, through to large contractors, as well as small and medium-sized supply chain partners.
