Bucket School Update The Bucket School is excited about an addition to our program this year. Each month, we offer additional opportunities for students to attend our children’s literature club called READ: Reading Enrichment and Discovery. The foundation for this optional class came from a desire to offer our Pre-K students more opportunities to enjoy books. Each class is based on a different classic children’s book. During class time children participate in discussion, and a variety of activities connecting literacy, art, and cooking. The program is unique from the rest of the school week as the entire morning is devoted to children’s literature. Students attending these classes are learning about different authors, illustrators, and what makes a book a classic. The class, open presently to our Pre-K students, is led by two of the Pre-K teachers who have strong children’s literature backgrounds. It is our hope that this program will continue to grow permitting additional classes to be offered. The Bucket School offers a variety of programs for children 2-5 years old. If you would like more information about all the great programs offered by the preschool, please contact Alice Bogert at 610-696-0554 or abogert@rstpreswc. com. Registration for the 2015-2016 school year will begin in January for new families.
