big wins Ÿ T&M was awarded a contract to prepare the Strategic Recovery Planning Report (SRPR) for the Borough of Deal based on our success with preparing the SRPR for the Borough of Rumson. Ÿ T&M has been awarded a contract for roadway and landscape design services from the City of Hoboken. The project includes roadway and intersection improvements for several roads within the City and the design of two rain gardens to help inltrate stormwater runo. Ÿ East Norriton Township, PA, recently hired T&M as their energy consultant to provide electric and natural gas procurement services for all Township facilities, pump stations and street lighting. Not only is this T&M's rst procurement assignment in PA, but a sterling example of cooperation and cross-selling between our municipal and energy groups. Kudos to (BDR, Plymouth Murray Kalich Meeting) and (Group Manager, Mike Mandzik Middletown) for leading the charge. Ÿ Aberdeen Township has appointed T&M as Special Projects Engineer. We expect several key capital project assignments under this contract. Ÿ Thanks to an above-and-beyond eort by Kim Stulb (Proposal Manager, Middletown) and the Industrial Hygiene team, T&M was able to gain prequalication for Asbestos services with the NJ Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction 1-2 years ahead of our normal cycle. This helped with expediting our updated certication with the NJSDA. NEWSMAKERS Ÿ The June issue of featured an article Control written by Ed Melanson (VP, Dedham, MA) on the opportunity for water and wastewater utilities to better leverage supervisory con- trol and data acquisition (SCADA) to increase eciency, reduce costs, enhance decision-making and simplify operations. Ÿ May 21st | , (Business Unit Leader, Trans- Don Di Zuzio portation, Middletown) was featured in a covering the video May Design Summit sponsored by the American Council of Engineering Companies of New Jersey (ACEC-NJ), the New Jersey Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Association. Thefocuses on Design Summit strengthening the communication, coordination and cooperation among FHWA, NJDOT and the engineering consultant community. Ÿ June 6th | The Star-Ledger/NJ.COM ran an on the article groundbreaking of the new baseball eld at John F. Kennedy Memorial High School in Woodbridge, NJ. T&M was responsible for the design and construction inspection of the project which featured a state-of-the-art synthetic turf eld and new sports lighting. Ÿ June 25th | The Highland Grove Swim Club and Spray Park celebrated it's re-opening and transformation after ground contaminants closed the park in 2012. T&M was brought in to help with contaminated soil, but our role was expanded to help completely renovate the site, including the design and construction of the new spray park. Ÿ The Ohio Water Environment Association's recent included an article Buckeye Bulletin (attached) on Columbus’s Blueprint Columbus program to eliminate sanitary sewer overows and promote green infrastructure. T&M serves as the program's lead for the Green Workforce Development initiative.
