Soon enough, our meeting begins, and Hillary decides to bring up an ongoing issue. Food. Since we are on a boat in the middle of a big giant salt water lake, surrounded by volcanoes and very little vegetation, I can see why she's concerned. We just eat bird and fish, period. That is all we can manage to catch. Besides the occasional clams and squid if we're lucky. We have no soil, so we can't grow anything, and the volcanoes had erupted so much, that it diminished all life below them. After talking deep discussion about it we move on to other topics, like new technology, and housing for citizens, but for some reason, I couldn't stop myself from thinking of the food issue. What if there really is a way to feed everybody. Maybe we just aren't looking hard enough. Back at my dwelling, Josh is waiting for me. As I walk in, he's dressed in a pair of loose jeans and a vneck army green tshirt, which brings out the anger in his eyes. His black hair was tousled, as it is usually slicked back neat. I greet him with a warm, “You look awful.” “Well I hate to tell you princess, but this ain’t no beauty pageant,” he replied, “even if it was, I’d always win.” He gives me a charming goofy smile. “Okay Junior Miss. Kent, what do you want now?” I say with a sarcastic tone. “Well, I have some complaints,” he states “Shoot away your royal highness, lets hope you don’t break your high heels in the process.” “The government needs to stop stealing my dresses. President Mason is always wanting to wear my style.” I roll my eyes, “Okay seriously, what’s the problem?” “Can you explain to me why the government is taking food from innocent civilians.” “I had no knowledge about that!” I say truthfully. “Some government officers are coming around to the community dwellings and taking their food supply,” he gave me a surprised look. Thoughts of betrayal run through my head. How could these officers take something like that? Then again, could Josh be lying? Secretly, deep down, I knew something about the government was fishy. How they always had food and the dwellingless never did, even though I saw them catching fish and shooting at birds. Never once did I see President Mason or any other official catch food. I was probably a minority of the bunch, actually getting food for myself.
