Adjacent to the railway line in the north is Allen Park, (a small garden which hosts events such as the Brick Lane comedy estival) and the Spitalelds city arm, which is a charity run arm and gardens which also has allotments or the local community. Whilst Brick Lane itsel could be considered a London landmark, it is made up o individual structures which are o individual note. Most notably perhaps is the Nicholas Hawksmoor designed Christ Church in Spitalelds. Te area is also home to the East London mosque, the largest Islamic centre in Europe. o the west is Spitaleld Market, a covered market which has existed in various orms on the site or 350 years.
