Music and Social Change Syllabus West Allis West Milwaukee Learning Center Spring 2015 Music and Social Change Assessment and Grading: 20% = Assignments (Formative assessments) 80% Final Projects (Summative assessments General Classroom and Course Procedures and Expectations: Room 504 is a WORKING ROOM! Students are expected to be READY TO LEARN upon entering my classroom. Below are the procedures and expectations that all students are to follow in my room. ●Students are expected to be in their seats by 10:25. Students who are not will be marked tardy. ●If students need to use the bathroom after 1st hour, please do so BEFORE entering my room. Please do not come into my room, put your stuff down and then leave my room,. Bathroom passes will not be granted the first or last 5 minutes of class. ●Students must grab all materials upon entering the classroom. ●Students will be engaged in work until 5 minutes before the end of class. Technology Expectations: ●All personal devices are to be PUT AWAY in a pocket, jacket pocket, bookbag unless directed by the teacher. If I can see it, it is not put away. ●Ipads and personal devices are teacher directed! Failure to follow comply with this policy will result in immediate action. ●Students can listen to music on school ipads during independent work time. Students will be expected to set up a play list and then place the ipad in case while working. ●Students may use the designated Ipad charging station to charge the IPAD only. Students will be allowed to charge personal devices at this station or anywhere else in my room.
