Course Materials * Daily access to reliable Internet and a computer (high speed access is available on campus) * All readings posted on the Blackboard site. All the course content will be delivered via Blackboard. ❏ To access Blackboard go to http://my.utep.edu/ and login using your email login and password. ❏ You can access Blackboard by clicking on the link near the top of the my.utep webpage. ❏ You must get into the habit of checking Blackboard at least once a day to make sure you do not miss any important announcements which will be posted in the Announcement area. ❏ You can view the syllabus, assignments, discussion boards, your grades, and other supplemental material related to this course on Blackboard. ❏ You can also send emails to your fellow classmates or to me through Blackboard – always remember to include an appropriate subject line. Please note that you cannot use the Blackboard email system to send email to anyone outside the class. Required Software You will need the following software on your computers to efficiently work in this course. If you are using a lab on campus, computers already have the necessary software. ❏ Adobe Acrobat Reader ❏ Microsoft Office. Specifically Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint. ❏ Recommended: As you begin to collaborate on your team projects you may want to consider using online software such as Google Docs http://google.com where you and your assigned team can create and edit documents and slide presentations remotely and in realtime .
