press almost every morning: Mexican, Italian, smoked turkey and anything else you can imagine! About breakfast Lev says, “I like eating chocolate chips. Mommy comes to eat with us when she’s finished getting dressed.” Talia says, “I like eating together a little bit.” Once everyone’s done eating, Howie does the dishes while Jen gets the kids dressed and then we head out for an exciting day. In spite of the incredible dedication of her long suffering husband, Jen’s response to breakfast is: “Why can’t everyone just eat cereal?!” Dessert for Every Meal by Jennifer Goldsmith We are here today to confirm that rumor. Yes, in fact, the Goldsmiths eat dessert at every meal. You may think that sounds crazy or that you wished you lived in their house! Each and every day they start off with a breakfast that includes chocolate or sugar…whether it is chocolate filled round pancakes or chocolate chip pancakes depends on the whim of the children. And don’t forget there is always the choice of a big bowl of Lucky Charms, one of Jen’s fa vorite cereals to date. After a brief pause in the sugar intake, the Goldsmiths have more after they eat their lunch. Whether it is an oreo, some mini muffins, a chocolate chip cookie or chocolate covered craisins, each lunch isn’t complete without something sweet! Lev came home one day from school and sa id, “Mom, I am so lucky. I am the only person in my class who has dessert in their lunch!” And Mom said, “How can you eat a meal without dessert?” And let’s not forget dessert after dinner…from chocolate cake to ice cream sundaes to fancy dark chocolate…th e Goldsmith household knows how to do it right!
