2 DECEMBER 2014 A MESSAGE FROM JONATHAN AKEROYD INTRODUCTION The end of 2014 is nearing and I trust you are all looking forward to the exciting projects that await us for 2015. The next month heralds the launch of our new Spring/Summer 2015 campaigns as well as preparations for our Autumn/Winter 2015 menswear and womenswear shows. Meanwhile, anticipation is brewing for the opening of our Savage Beauty exhibition at the Victoria and Albert museum in March. Encouraging press reviews and strong interaction on social media signal it will be a great success. Also in March Tate Britain will simultaneously launch a major photographic exhibition from art photographer Nick Waplington who documented the process of creating Lee McQueen’s Horn of Plenty collection. It’s imperative that we capture the momentum these launches will provide us, brand awareness will be incredibly high, particularly in the U.K The last quarter of 2014 has been a period of high activity for our house. At Alexander McQueen we held our womenswear show as part of Paris fashion week, cemented our association with the arts by featuring artist Marc Quinn at our show while sponsoring Frieze Live at the International Art Fair two weeks later. Furthermore, we have opened our rst store in the Principality of Monaco and franchise stores in Moscow Barvikha and Baku Azerbaijan. At McQ, reviews for the press presentation of our SS15 collection at LFW were very positive. We continued in expanding the reach of our brand and name with the McQ Manga Bunny campaign that started in London at Selfridges and is now touring in Hong Kong, Beijing, Bangkok and Dubai. A host of new partnerships, with McQ teaming up with Salo and Puma while McQueen embarks on a fragrance collaboration with Proctor & Gamble, will contribute to laying the foundations for growth for both brands. Our objectives remain geared towards expanding our retail network and improving our sell-through whilst strengthening our customer base and amplifying brand exposure and recognition at a global level across multiple channels. 2014 has been a year of signicant change and expansion, we have faced challenges commercially but I remain positive and look forward to 2015 being our most successful yet. Meanwhile, I wish you all a wonderful holiday season and I will be updating you in the coming months. Best wishes, Jonathan
