The year was 1865, the day that history changed. It was spring April 15, 1865 when our beloved 16th president was assassinated by a man named John Wilkes Booth. It was a very saddening day for the US. But why would John wilkes booth do such a terrible thing? Well the story behind this whole assassination will be shocking and terrible. A month before the assassination, John Wilkes Booth had already planned a kidnapping but Lincoln failed to appear at the scene with six other conspirators, but two weeks later a man named richmond fell to John’s forces or “group”, so John wasn't the only one in on this. On April 10, 1865 I was driving the president to a dinner reservation with his wife and I overhear them talking about a trade going on between the enemy side and his wife, Mary Todd a beautiful lady, told mr. President to keep it down so I wouldn't hear but since I am an experienced limo driver for over 10 years I've heard some crazy stories but this didn't really bother me mainly because it wasn't my business and he's the president I should just trust what he does. But it also did a cure to me that I did have John Wilkes booth and a few of his friends at a point in time . I didn't think that this will all connect at a point and ruin things so quickly. So because of this "trade" that President lincoln was doing during this time was very confusing to the public and John knew about this trade that the president was making and John Wilkes Booth wanted to use this against him at the next speech he will attend. But his friend Richmond told him not to until the right time comes; this is scheduled on April 22, 1865. Then John the little snooper he is found out about the showing the president will be making at this theater to watch a play; so John forgets whatever Richmond told him and wanted to go on his own path at this point and decided to go to that same exact showing as the president. (The guards were off duty, smoking and taking a break) John Wilkes Booth did a horrifying action that changed so much. John Wilkes Booth killed Abraham Lincoln our beloved 16th president.
