Interviene un solo individuo a partir del cual se originan descendientes idénticos al progenitor. Por ejemplo las bacterias. Sexual. Intervienen dos individuos de diferente sexo que aportan una célula sexual o gameto. Ambos gametos se unen y dan lugar al nuevo individuo.
